There is a special negatively charged ion exchange resin in the softening filter. Dissolved in water and responsible for its hardness ions are positively charged. When water passes through the resin, calcium and magnesium ions are removed and replaced with sodium ions. This is why these types of filters are so effective. When the ion exchange capacity is depleted, it must be regenerated by allowing it to sit in a vessel with saline solution for 30 minutes (the saline solution must be with a special softener salt or a salt with a purity of at least 99% NaCl). During regeneration, the reverse process occurs, calcium and magnesium in the resin are replaced by sodium and then rinsed in the sewer.
APPLICATION OF THE SOFT FILTER
Water softening in filtration systems for domestic and drinking water.
Do not use for microbiologically contaminated and of unknown origin water.
The softening filter has a special food negatively charged ion exchange resin, which has high performance and metabolic capacity. Ion exchange involves the removal of unwanted or dangerous ionic components from water and their replacement by harmless ions from the ion exchange resin used. The temporarily retained replacement ions are then separated into a regenerating or washing liquid.
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE SOFTENING FILTER
completely removes calcium and magnesium ions responsible for the formation of limescale and scale;
provides excellent softening with minimal pressure drop;
resistant to chemicals;
resistant to the development of microorganisms;
cartridge capacity before regeneration - up to 1000 liters (depending on the hardness of the passing water);
flow 20l / min.
